Hey, I’m Alex.
Combining a background in digital marketing with a keen interest in gaming and content, I enjoy finding meaningful methods to engage communities in acessible ways. I’m currently seeking to engage in research on the mechanisms of affiliate marketing within gaming spaces. This will be evidenced in my dissertation project this coming academic year.

Utilising my lengthy personal background in gaming and esports spaces, I am able to elevate the voices of a given audience.
Balancing the needs of the community with stakeholder KPIs and values is core to what I enjoy working on most, and the unique challenge involved in creating both topical and evergreen content in the tumultuous landscape of the games industry is something I love to experiment with.

Being well-immersed in multiple gaming and esports communities for the past decade and a half means that I find it incredibly easy to attune myself to the heart of a community's wants and needs, whilst retaining an objective viewpoint regarding the goals and capabilities of organisations.
This results in an ability to raise issues that are possible for resolution in a way that highlights the benefits and risks associated with the solution of a given issue, whilst also being able to communicate succinctly and empathetically to built a sense of transparency and trust with the community.

It is a well-known discussion point in gaming communities that DE&I can be a difficult topic to breach.
Representation in every facet of organisational decisionmaking, from the storyboard to the boardroom, ensures that equitable solutions can be implemented early, rather than shoehorned later into a process in unproductive ways.
When marginalised communities feel represented at all levels, the barriers of involvement that are often not considered for those who don't experience them are taken away, resulting in a greater sense of community overall.
